About the Team

As part of the Global Enterprise Communications (GEC) team in Global External Affairs (GEA), you will partner with Communications and Business leaders and colleagues across the Enterprise to drive and help deliver on strategic priorities that create value for Capital One. In this role, you will act as an Individual Contributor, focusing on project management for critical initiatives supporting the Global Payment Network and Technology organization. 

General Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead project management role for critical initiatives supporting the Global Payment Network and Technology organization, working in close partnership with Communications, Marketing, Business, and Legal teams.

• Strategic Communications: Draft strategic communications updates for key executive forums. 

• AI Enablement & Process Innovation: Identify and pilot opportunities to responsibly integrate AI tools into strategic operations workflows, driving greater efficiency in data synthesis, reporting, and team process optimization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

• At least 6 years of experience in Strategic Operations, Project Management, Management Consulting, HR Strategy, Chief of Staff, HRBP role or combination

• At least 1 year of experience in roadmap alignment, governance structures, and change management

• At least 3 years of experience working with senior stakeholders across different business functions

• At least 3 years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership and non-leadership audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exceptional writing and visual storytelling skills 

• Highly organized with great attention to detail

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

• Excellent problem solving and influencing skills 

• Experience with Payments or Technology industries

• 3+ years of experience driving organizational change and operational excellence

• 4+ years of experience working closely with Executive leadership

• Familiarity with leveraging AI technologies to enhance operational productivity, analyze qualitative data insights, or streamline project delivery

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
