Environmental Services (EVS) Technician
Saint Louis Zoo
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician will be responsible for the daily cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiencies of buildings and grounds of the Saint Louis Zoo. As a member of the Facilities and Planning Division, this position will support the Zoo’s mission and advocate the Zoo’s core values and three keys. Maintain the cleanliness of assigned Zoo spaces during designated shift. Know and understand the Zoo employee handbook and adhere to all stated disciplinary actions and personnel policies. Supervision of other employees of mot a responsibility of this position. QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma of equivalent required. Ability to work well in a team environment with subordinates, peers and superiors. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and odd hours as needed. The drug test screens for five substances, including marijuana. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will spend an estimated 50% of their time on grounds and 50% in a building.
