Medical Billing Specialist

Supporting life-saving products, the full-time Medical Billing Specialist will manage Medicaid authorizations, review claims for accuracy, and ensure timely follow-up on billing discrepancies in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Obtain and enter Medicaid authorizations accurately to ensure clean claims are released Review claims for accuracy of procedures, diagnoses, and insurance information Monitor Accounts Receivable days and proactively communicate any billing issues identified Required qualifications Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding or Accounting, preferred 2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably with Medicaid and Managed Care reimbursement Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology Strong technical skills with Excel and billing software Ability to manage relationships with various insurance payers and agencies
