Duration: 6 Months+ (Temp to hire)   

Payrate: $18.75/hr. + shift differential $2 = $20.75/hr.

Shift: 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM) – Mandatory OT

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coiling, inspecting, measuring, labeling, and pressure testing hoses in accordance with manufacturing specifications and quality requirements. Ensures hoses are properly prepared, tested, documented, and handled throughout the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hose Coiling

• Review hose conformance while coiling onto reels and cut hose as needed.
• Verify part number, hose size, and job number against manufacturing specifications.
• Inspect hoses for product defects and abnormalities, including:
• • Bony hose
  • Broken wires
  • Missing wires
  • Kinked hose
  • Other visible flaws or defects
• Place hose scrap in designated containers.
• Measure hose OD (outside diameter), ID (inside diameter), and pitch according to specifications.
• Prepare and properly complete hose labels.

Pressure Testing

• Operate pressure testing equipment in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
• Set up the appropriate test mode (proof and/or impact), jaws, mandrels, prefill, cycle time, and dump pressure (purge).
• Record impact PSI on the back of the hose tag.
• Cut off hose ends and wrap them securely with tape.
• Perform basic computer functions as required for testing and documentation.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee may be exposed to:

• High noise levels from operating machinery and equipment.
• Physical hazards associated with operating machines and moving reels.
• Industrial manufacturing environments requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing specifications and work instructions.
• Ability to accurately measure hose dimensions and identify product defects.
• Ability to safely operate pressure testing and hose coiling equipment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required labeling and documentation.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
