Patient Care Technicians - PCT

Patient Care TechnicianThis is a temporary assignment covering leave of absence. The shift runs from 4:00 PM to 12:15 AM, including a 45-minute unpaid lunch break. The schedule includes Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. Successful completion of an approved Patient Care Associate training program is required. The ability to read, write, and speak fluent English is required. The role requires experience in a similar setting. Preferred experience includes Epic charting system and trauma level experience. Candidates must be proficient in abnormal and normal vital sign parameters for adults and pediatrics. The responsibilities include assisting with ambulation, providing hygiene care, and maintaining patient safety. Candidates should be familiar with electronic vital sign equipment and emergency response procedures. The daily census for the unit is approximately 120 patients. The role involves interdisciplinary support with various healthcare teams. Additionally, candidates should be capable of performing CPR and phlebotomy. All titles are required to complete assigned training modules prior to starting the position. This position requires adherence to established protocols for patient care and safety. Candidates with prior permanent employee experience must have been away for at least one year and cleared for rehire. Travel pairs are accepted, but individuals cannot work the same shift.
