About the Clinician's Workday The psychiatric physician associate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care for children and adolescents in a 16-bed acute psychiatric stabilization unit with an average daily census of 12-16 patients during full-time day shifts. Clinical responsibilities include assisting with admissions, conducting daily psychiatric follow-ups, discharge planning, and maintaining accurate documentation for patients with behavioral health conditions including mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and suicidal ideation. The clinician will complete initial psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of admission and participate in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment alongside the Medical Director, Psychiatry Resident, therapists, case management, and program leadership. The position involves managing approximately one admission and one discharge per day while working within a supportive team-based care model focused on acute stabilization and crisis intervention.
