A day in the role

Morning in Milwaukee, WI starts with a scan of process capability, defect trends, and customer feedback. You plan the day’s layered audits, align with production and design on open nonconformances, and lead a quick stand-up to prioritize corrective and preventive actions. By midday, you’re on the floor verifying gauges, validating inspection plans, and confirming that procedures align with ISO 9001 requirements. The afternoon is for deep dives—running 5 Why analyses on recurring issues, updating control plans, preparing clear, executive-ready reports, and coaching teams through standard work. You wrap by mapping upcoming PPAP deliverables and skimming the latest industry updates to keep our practices cutting-edge.

• Create, refine, and deploy quality systems, procedures, and documentation that drive consistency and compliance.
• Plan and execute audits and shop-floor inspections to verify adherence to internal and external quality standards.
• Analyze process and product data to uncover patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve issues and implement robust corrective actions.
• Compile and present clear quality performance reports and recommendations to leadership.
• Develop and facilitate training that elevates quality awareness and skills across teams.
• Continuously research and apply evolving quality engineering best practices and standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a quality engineering function.
• Strong command of quality methodologies, control plans, and core tools.
• Proven analytical mindset with practical problem-solving capability.
• Comfort with statistical methods for monitoring and improvement.
• Clear, concise communicator—written and verbal.
• Effective collaborator who thrives in cross-functional settings.

• Hands-on Quality Inspection experience
• 5 Why root cause analysis
• Quality Control practices and documentation
• ISO 9001 implementation/maintenance experience
• Advanced inspection and gauge measurement (including Gage R&R)
• Quality control data analysis and reporting
• PPAP process knowledge and execution
• Engineering drawing and blueprint interpretation
