ICU Registered Nurse

Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. RN- ICU Ratio: 1:2. Years of experience required: 2. First-timers accepted: No. Weekend requirement: Every other. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS. Skills required: Medical Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, central venous pressure monitoring (CVP), pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, chronic/acute renal failure, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips, CVA/acute stroke management, assist with management of BiPAP, care of ventilated patient, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), respiratory failure, suctioning (ETT, NT), ventilator management, infection prevention, isolation precautions/use of PPE, phlebotomy, surgical wounds with drains/wound vac.

Is on-call required? No. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, will float within service line to ICU units. Open to accommodating block schedule? No. Locals accepted: No. What is the local radius rule? No, home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility. Pending license accepted: Yes. RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days. Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks. The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the contractor personnel is assigned. Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit.
