Construction Laborer

Construction Assembler Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Construction Assembler to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA! This is a great opportunity if you enjoy working with your hands and have an interest in manufacturing or are an experienced construction or manufacturing professional looking for a change. The core hours average 54 per week (including OT) between 6 am - 4:30 pm. There is overtime every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $16.50-$19.96 per hour. What You'll Do: The Construction Assembler is responsible for assembling structural wall systems and building components. This role works as part of a production crew and uses hand and power tools to complete routine to semi-complex assembly tasks while following engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, with the primary objective of delivering a finished product on time and in adherence to Eaton's quality standards. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution No relocation benefits provided. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, production, construction, industrial, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or Crown lifts; driver certification preferred Experience reading and interpreting blueprints Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices (e.g., hand grinder, saw, caulk gun) Skills: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation Must be able to stand and bend for extended periods of time Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position. Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S and continuous improvement.
