LICENSED PHARMACY SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Location: The Colony, TX | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay: $22.00/hour
• Full-Time | W2
• 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM–6:30 PM CST
• Weekend availability required
• Start Date: September 14, 2026

ROLE IMPACT

Join a healthcare support team focused on helping patients understand and resolve prescription coverage and pharmacy benefit concerns. As a Licensed Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will use your Pharmacy Technician background to answer questions, investigate prescription issues, and help patients navigate insurance benefits and authorization requirements.

This position combines pharmacy knowledge with customer service and problem-solving. You will communicate with patients and pharmacy partners by phone, email, and chat while working to provide accurate information and timely solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to patients and pharmacy partners regarding prescription coverage, benefits, and insurance questions.

• Investigate rejected or unresolved prescription claims and determine appropriate next steps.

• Review benefit information and clearly communicate coverage details to patients.

• Assist with prior authorization inquiries and related pharmacy benefit requests.

• Respond to patient and pharmacy inquiries through phone, email, and chat.

• Maintain accurate notes and case documentation within internal systems.

• Identify cases requiring additional review and coordinate escalation to the appropriate team.

• Handle confidential patient information in accordance with privacy and healthcare requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Pharmacy Technician license required.

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required within 6 months of hire if not already certified.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Good job stability (a minimum of 1 year at all previous roles).

• Must live within a 30 mile radius of The Colony, TX.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Customer service experience with the ability to explain detailed information clearly and professionally.

• Strong research, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a high-volume environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare call center, or patient support environment.

• Experience with CRM, ticketing, or case management platforms.

• Bilingual communication skills.
