Project Accountant

Project Accountant IES Commercial, Inc. - dba IES Electrical, is looking for a full-time Project Accountant to work in one of our Nebraska offices: Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney, Grand Island or Holdrege. Job Summary Prepare and support GMP/NTE billing Accounts Receivable submissions, ensuring all required cost backup, subcontractor/vendor invoices, labor detail, material documentation, and expense support are complete, accurate, and organized for owner review. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and provide financial support for ongoing electrical construction projects. Assist with day-to-day project accounting operations. Collaborate with project managers for project coordination. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting. Understanding of project accounting and cost tracking. 1 to 2 years' accounting experience, project accounting preferred. Proficient in MS Excel. Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. Experience in construction or electrical industries a plus. Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
