Job Summary:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility located in NEW BRITAIN, Connecticut. This role involves providing specialized care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with cardiac monitoring on a 12-hour night shift schedule. The position requires the delivery of complex patient care, including respiratory and vented patient management, with opportunities to float between related units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting with respiratory/ventilated patients strongly preferred, prior travel experience is a plus. BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory/vented patients, prior travel experience.
• Float: Float rotation is not required.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for IV starts, medication administration, blood product administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, complex and simple wound dressings, tracheostomy care, suctioning, straight cath, Foley care, port access, central line dressing, and wound measurements. Candidates should have experience with respiratory and vented patients if applicable. Profiles must be clear and easy to follow for review purposes.
