Receptionist Temp to Hire

Located next to Hobby Airport. This is a temporary to hire position for a front desk receptionist. The pay rate is $25.00. Position Summary Our client is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to support the Marine Division of a leading oil and gas company. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, vessel crews, vendors, and business partners while providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced maritime environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist visitors, vendors, clients, and vessel personnel in a professional and courteous manner. Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments. Maintain front desk operations and ensure a welcoming, organized reception area. Coordinate visitor access, security badges, and check-in procedures in accordance with company safety and security policies. Receive and distribute incoming mail, courier packages, and deliveries. Prepare outgoing shipments and coordinate courier and overnight delivery services. Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and appointments. Order and maintain office supplies and breakroom inventory. Process invoices, purchase requests, and expense documentation as assigned. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems while ensuring document accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate office maintenance requests and communicate with building management and vendors. Assist with preparing reports, presentations, correspondence, and other business documents. Support company meetings, training sessions, and special events. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred. 2+ years of receptionist, administrative assistant, or office support experience. Experience within the oil and gas, marine, maritime, logistics, transportation, or industrial industries is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
