RN - MS Tele Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Pending licenses accepted Certifications: BLS preferred, ACLS preferred but not required Must-Have: Epic experience is required Description:This position is for a 27-bed General Medicine Unit.Clinicians on this unit care for a variety of disease processes that involve respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal systems.The shift is a night schedule.Available hours may include 36 or 48 hours per week.Every other weekend is required, along with working 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.Time-off requests are limited to a maximum of 40 hours for the contract period.Time off around the Christmas holiday cannot be approved.The candidate must adhere to the float policy.Epic experience is required unless noted otherwise. Patient care involves managing patients with respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis.The unit supports interdisciplinary care with teams for IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support.The unit conducts nurse-driven Heparin infusions, insulin drips via Glucomander, and telemetry.Special equipment includes lift equipment, HOVER mats, chest tubes, PCA pumps, bladder scanners, and wound vacs.The daily patient census on the unit is approximately 25.Patient age groups served include adults and geriatrics. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
