Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Assembler I - Seismic (2nd Shift) to join our team in Reno, NV! The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift differential.

Core hours: 2:30pm - 11pm

What You'll Do:

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• May use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Supports all facility continuous improvement and lean initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
• Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional lean tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
• Encourage, support, and actively participate in kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position success criteria:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift, lift up to 35 lbs without assistance, and lift more than 35 lbs with assistance with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
• Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
• Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
