About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – Tennessee

Start Date: ASAP (orientations begin weekly on Mondays)

Location: Jackson, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-hour orientation; 4-5 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends; 42-bed unit with daily census of 40 patients

Highlights:

• Busy cardiac/pulmonary telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• PCU/stepdown experience required with minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Epic charting system – recent experience within the last 18 months required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• One period of pre-approved time off available

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 18 months required and must be documented
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, blood product administration, central line management, ventilator care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Two supervisory references required at submission
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
