Market Development Manager (MDM)Location: Lakeland, FLStatus: Exempt | Full-TimeJob SummaryOur client is seeking a dynamic Market Development Manager (MDM) to lead the development and execution of strategic go-to-market initiatives that align customer and prospect needs with our industrial maintenance and construction capabilities.This highly impactful role will focus on expanding our client base, penetrating new geographies, and ensuring long-term growth within defined industrial market segments. The MDM will work closely with Field Market Development Managers (FMDs) to implement winning strategies that drive profitable revenue and increase market share.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine vertical market segments and develop a strategic go-to-market approach targeting industrial maintenance, reconstruction, and construction needs.Create a comprehensive business plan and budget to deliver measurable, profitable sales growth.Generate demand for services and products within the assigned market segment.Establish and maintain frequent contact with existing and prospective customers to present value-driven solutions.Build and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels within customer organizations.Develop and execute a customer contact plan to ensure consistent engagement with decision-makers.Identify and capture new revenue opportunities that align with company objectives.Conduct industry research to identify potential customers and apply findings in actionable ways.Produce accurate sales and forecasting reports to drive strategic decisions and ensure organizational readiness.EducationBachelor's degree preferred, OR10+ years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree.ExperiencePrior experience in sales, marketing, or market segment leadership preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong work ethic and results-driven mindset.Knowledge of heavy industrial markets is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.Work Location & TravelBased in Lakeland, FL.Travel to client sites is required.Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.Work EnvironmentCorporate office and field environment.Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and job-related physical.Commitment to a safe and healthy workplace.Physical RequirementsAbility to listen and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.Strong problem sensitivity and reasoning skills.Visual acuity for close-range tasks.Ability to organize information and adapt to changing requirements.Authorization to WorkMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.Participation in E-Verify is required.
