POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Sr. Digital Experience Design Specialist is a hybrid designer who bridges product experience design, content design and visual communication.
• This role creates cohesive, consumer-centered front-end experiences across websites, applications and other digital touchpoints while ensuring that content, interaction and visual expression work together as one experience.
• The specialist brings in-depth UX/UI expertise and a strong eye for graphic design, messaging hierarchy and brand expression, translating traditional marketing ideas and assets into intuitive, accessible and high-performing digital experiences.
• Working closely with product, marketing, content and development partners, this role turns consumer needs and business goals into experiences that are useful, engaging, on-brand and feasible to build. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience Strategy and UX/UI Design:

• Work on the end-to-end front-end experience for websites, applications, responsive and adaptive experiences and other connected digital touchpoints.
• Translate consumer needs, business requirements, brand objectives and content priorities into intuitive journeys, information architecture, interaction patterns and polished user interfaces.
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, page layouts and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate experience and design intent as needed.
• Apply consumer empathy, research, analytics, KPIs and behavioral signals to identify opportunities, validate design decisions and continuously improve the experience.
• Rapidly iterate from concept through design handoff, balancing usability, visual quality, brand consistency, technical feasibility and speed to market. 

Content and Visual Design:

• Bring a strong content design mindset to digital experiences, shaping page hierarchy, messaging flow, calls to action, labels and supporting content so consumers can quickly understand and act.
• Apply graphic design principles, including composition, typography, color, imagery and visual storytelling, to create compelling and cohesive digital experiences.
• Partner with marketing and creative teams to translate campaign concepts, marketing materials and brand assets into effective digital-first journeys.
• Assess the quality and fit of content and creative assets within the experience, recommending edits, adaptations or new approaches when needed.
• Ensure that UX, content and visual design decisions reinforce one another rather than operating as separate workstreams. 

Cross-Functional Work and Delivery:

• Serve as a design team member across product, marketing, content, creative and development teams, championing consumer-centered problem solving.
• Utilize digital design standards, reusable patterns and experience guidelines, and support consistent adoption across teams and touchpoints.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, marketers, content strategists and other partners to define visuals and content needs and product content priorities.
• Communicate effectively with digital product team members; understand front-end constraints and critical paths, and incorporate technical considerations into UX planning.
• Provide design support throughout development and execution, including design reviews and quality assurance for layout, responsive behavior, typography, interactions, accessibility and overall design integrity.
• TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, CANDIDATES MUST INCLUDE AN ONLINE PORTFOLIO SHOWING UX/UI, DIGITAL PRODUCT AND VISUAL OR CONTENT-LED DESIGN WORK. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

• BA, BFA or equivalent experience in UX/UI design, interaction design, visual communication, graphic design, digital design or a related field. 

Experience:

• 5 or more years of experience in UX/UI, product design, digital design, experience design or a related discipline.
• Experience designing within front-end experiences for websites and applications across responsive breakpoints.
• Experience creating both UX deliverables and polished visual design, with a portfolio demonstrating strength in interaction, interface, content hierarchy and graphic design.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum, Lean Kanban or comparable cross-functional product delivery environments.
• Experience contributing to both small and large initiatives from concept through launch and optimization. 

SKILLS:

• Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
• Demonstrated experience in user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, responsive design and design systems.
• Strong visual design capabilities, including typography, layout, color, imagery, composition and brand application.
• Ability to evaluate and shape content hierarchy, messaging flow, calls to action and microcopy in partnership with content and marketing teams.
• Working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles for digital experiences.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with an understanding of front-end development practices and constraints.
• Ability to connect consumer insights and data with pragmatic, structured design decisions.
• Clear communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized and able to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Collaborative, pragmatic and open-minded, with a shared-ownership approach to team success.
• Passion for technology, digital products, consumer experience and the evolving relationship between UX, content and brand design.
