Clinical Research CoordinatorThe Clinical Trials Office (CTO) is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our team. The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC I) works under general supervision to support the team in enrolling eligible patients on oncology clinical trials and ensuring all protocol mandated assessments are completed as required to comply with institutional and federal regulations governing clinical research. This position involves direct patient contact.Principal duties and responsibilities include:Assist clinical team in screening potential patients for study participationSchedule all protocol required tests and proceduresCoordinate patient appointments with physicians, nurses, and all test areasCoordinate and schedule clinical safety laboratory specimen draws and ensure timely results are available to providersPrepare pre-visit communication for providers to ensure required assessments are completed and documentedMaintain point of contact communication with enrolled patients and assist with front line questions regarding study participationDevelop protocol specific flow charts, intake sheets, and other tools to ensure protocol compliance and proper data acquisitionCoordinate, obtain, process, and ship protocol required tissue samplesEnsure collection, processing (e.g. spin/separate/freeze) and send out of required correlative research blood samplesObtain vital signs and perform EKGs as required for individual studiesAdminister quality of life assessments as required for individual studiesSkills/abilities/competencies required include:Careful attention to detailGood organizational skillsAbility to follow directionsGood communication skillsComputer literacyWorking knowledge of clinical research protocolsAbility to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needsWorking conditions include:Duties will primarily be performed in an ambulatory/clinical office settingWill require occasional travel between the various sites, as neededAccess to personal transport is requiredQualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree related field of study requiredExperience: Some relevant research project work 0-1 year preferredMass General Brigham is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
