VIP Staffing is immediately hiring a Machinist for a local leading organization in Albuquerque
This is a Full Time Temp to Hire position Monday - Friday 6am- 2:30 pm
Pay for this position is $28-$32 DOE
As a Machinist you will:
- Operate Steel cutting and forming machines as well as hand tools such as grinders and drills
- Operate metal plate shearing equipment
- Operate Press brake and plate roller
- Perform some stick welding to splice plates together for rolling and other application
Machinist candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of related experience as a machine operator and/or training
- Ability to read a tape measure and engineering drawings
- Ability to differentiate jobs requiring multiple parts and be able to start and complete job.
- Ability to read/write in English
- Able to operate forklift, overhead cranes, and hand tools
- Able to perform repetitive work and meet quality standards
- Able to accomplish tasks within a set budget
- Able to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, twisting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
