Excelcare at Norwood is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Admissions to lead and grow our census. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and understands how to balance relationship-building, compliance, and occupancy goals.

Director of Admissions Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry to intake

• Serve as the main point of contact for families, hospitals, and referral partners

• Conduct pre-admission assessments and ensure clinical appropriateness

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and social work teams to support seamless transitions

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all admissions activity

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local hospitals, case managers, and community organizations

• Monitor census trends and contribute to strategic planning for occupancy goals

• Represent the facility professionally in outreach and marketing efforts

 

Director of Admissions Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in admissions or marketing within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting

• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance guidelines

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with EMR systems and admissions tracking tools

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
