The Company consists of three business segments: Human Nutrition and Health, Animal Nutrition and Health, and Specialty Products.POSITION SUMMARY:Balchem is seeking a Nutrition Science (NS) Director for the APAC region to support innovation and commercialization within our Minerals and Nutrients (M&N) business. This role partners cross-functionally to translate scientific evidence into impactful product development, customer engagement, and market growth across APAC.Serve as a key scientific interface between NS and R&D, commercial teams, academic partners, and customers, with a focus on functional ingredients, formulation, and regionally relevant health solutions.Ideal location will be in Malaysia or Singapore.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop scientific expertise in functional ingredients, human nutrition, and emerging health benefitsTranslate research into high-impact outputs (white papers, publications, presentations, technical dossiers)Support innovation through new product concepts, applications, and health indicationsProvide formulation and application support for ingredient commercializationManage research collaborations with universities, CROs, and regional partnersBuild relationships with academic and scientific stakeholders across APACSupport regulatory activities (e.g., dossiers, regional compliance awareness)Partner with Marketing & Sales to develop science-based tools, training, and customer presentationsContribute to IP development and business development initiativesSupport Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) activities and strategic programsREQUIREMENTS:Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Nutrition Science, Biology, Physiology, or related fieldMust have previous APAC regional involvement with a multi-national company5+ years in nutritional or functional ingredients, with strong scientific and applied experienceExperience working with academic collaborators; APAC network preferredStrong knowledge of nutrition science and ingredient functionalityExcellent communication and presentation skills for scientific and commercial audiencesProven ability to translate complex science into business-relevant insightsFluent in English and Mandarin (required)Experience supporting APAC markets preferredAbility to work remotely and be self-motivatedExceptional team playerHigh degree of problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to travel regionallySome familiarity with formulation and ability to translate ingredients into finished products#PRM123Department: Hamburg Location:
