Support Services Assistant (Interpreter)

Job Title

This position requires the applicant to be bilingual in American Sign Language (ASL).

This position is located in the city of Concord. Multiple vacancies may exist.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor I, Team Manager, and in coordination with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Services Analyst II, the Support Services Assistant (Interpreter) (SSA-I) performs a wide range of interpreting services for Rehabilitation Counselors for the Deaf (RCD) and other deaf or hard of hearing staff members as well as reports monthly activity to the Analyst II, coordinates their individual weekly schedule, and maintains resource/training materials for individual development within the classification.

American Sign Language Interpreting for professional meetings, telephone calls, one-on-one meetings with RCDs, other departmental employees for case staffing, training sessions, departmental operations, inter-departmental meetings, conferences, and public events as needed by the department. Hiring supervisor will review applications every two weeks starting 9/12/26.
