Senior System Administrator

Iowa Bankers Insurance & Services, Inc. seeks a Senior System Administrator to own the reliability, security, and performance of core infrastructure supporting community banks. In this role, you'll manage Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backups, and cloud services in a highly regulated financial environment. You'll implement security best practices, monitor and troubleshoot systems, and lead upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery planning. Working in a collaborative, service-oriented culture, you'll partner with security, operations, and business teams to ensure compliant, resilient systems for our banking and insurance clients.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and backups.
• Implement and monitor security controls, patches, and hardening aligned with banking and insurance regulations.
• Manage identity, access, and authentication using Active Directory/Azure AD and related tools.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve infrastructure issues with minimal downtime.
• Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Collaborate with security, operations, and business teams to support applications and services.
• Document systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures for ongoing support and audits.
