Structural Engineer - Commercial Construction

Job Description

A local general contractor is looking to add a dynamite structural engineer to their team. This is due to ongoing growth within the company....

Experience (looking for 10+ years) as a Structural Engineer for commercial construction projects which include estimating structural components
Comprehension of construction processes, including familiarity with construction materials and estimating quantities
Experience with estimating software preferred
Ability to read site plans and develop cost estimates efficiently
Works well in a team environment and possesses excellent communication skills
Organized, self-motivated, fast learner, able to multitask and meet deadlines
Communicate effectively with the sub-contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project
Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the estimation team, management team, sub-contractors, and laborers
Keep a positive attitude & set an example as a leader that all crew members enjoy working with
