Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations on adult and pediatric patients using Philips MRI systems, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Obtain informed patient history, verify identity and requisitions, select appropriate MRI protocols, and adjust parameters as indicated.
- Position patients, administer contrast when required, monitor patients during imaging, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and maintain MRI equipment, perform routine QA checks, and troubleshoot standard instrument issues.
- Document procedures and findings in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate findings with radiologists and the care team.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional staff, adapt to unit needs across inpatient and outpatient settings, and adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with BLS requirements and MR safety practices; participate in unit schedules and weekend coverage as assigned.

Requirements
- ARRT or ARMRIT license with MR advanced certification/licensure required
- BLS (basic life support) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- Experience with Philips MRI systems required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (equivalency) accepted
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Flexibility to float between inpatient (main campus) and outpatient locations as needed to meet unit needs
