Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using Philips systems, ensuring high-quality images per protocol and patient safety considerations
- Prepare, position, and transport patients; explain procedures; apply coils and monitoring equipment as needed
- Adjust imaging parameters, sequences, and coil selections to optimize diagnostic quality while minimizing exam time
- Administer contrast agents per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions; document findings and patient responses
- Confirm orders, verify patient data in the electronic medical record (Epic where applicable), and ensure accurate study labeling and documentation
- Maintain equipment and supplies, perform basic troubleshooting, and uphold radiation- and infection-control guidelines; coordinate with radiologists and the care team
- No on-call requirement; participate in scheduling to meet unit needs and patient care priorities

Requirements
- Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT MRI licensure with MR advanced credentialing
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of MRI experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Technology: Philips MRI experience required
- EHR: Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Education: Not specified beyond professional licensure and certification
- Additional: Teaching hospital experience preferred; must be able to work a 12-hour night shift and remain flexible with scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs
- Logistics: Reliable transportation required; public transit is not available in the area
