Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab RN

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiovascular Services, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology
License: Active RN License required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS


Must-Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiology or interventional radiology setting
- Experience with balloon angioplasty, stents, thrombectomy, filter placement, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement
- Proficient in left heart and right heart catheterization
- Skills in echocardiography and hemodynamic monitoring


Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out on-site.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in cancellation.
Traveler experience is required; unit will not accept first-time travelers.
Local candidates are accepted with a corresponding rate difference.
General skills required include scrub, monitor, and EKG capabilities.
Candidates must have experience in scrub procedures and be able to circulate.
Cardiac cath lab procedure experience is required, including balloon angioplasty and device placements.
Interventional radiology procedure experience is mandatory, including stents and angioplasty.
Electrophysiology procedure experience is also required, including cardioversion and pacemaker insertion.
Ratios for days are 1:4-6 and for nights/weekends, it is 1:3.
Call requirements include 8 weekdays and 2 weekends in a 6-week period.
Candidates must be flexible to float to nearby facilities as needed.
Weekend coverage is required for 2 weekends per 6-week period.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Special procedures include cardiac catheterizations and interventions for STEMI patients.
Experience with special equipment, including EKOS and CSI, is required.
Unit systems include Pyxis and electronic charting.
Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week.
