Registered Nurse (RN) - GI LabJoin a team dedicated to providing high-quality care in a predominantly outpatient setting, specializing in Gastrointestinal procedures. The Registered Nurse will work in the Preoperative and Phase 2 Recovery units, focusing on patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, IV insertion, and recovery management.Key ResponsibilitiesPreoperative Duties: Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and perform IV insertions.Phase 2 Recovery: Monitor patients' vital signs, assess recovery using the Aldrete Score, provide discharge instructions, and assist in IV removal.Patient CarePatient Ratio: 1:1 in Preoperative, 1:3 in Phase 2 Recovery.Typical Diagnoses: Screening exams, ERCPs, EUS procedures, and inpatient cases related to GI bleed, anemia, and abdominal pain.Procedures and EquipmentCommon procedures include EGD and Colonoscopy.Other procedures: ERCP and EUS.EMR System: Experience with EPIC is preferred; training will be provided.Schedule and DurationThis position is a 13-week assignment, requiring a schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30. There are no weekend shifts and no on-call requirements.QualificationsCertifications Required: BLS and ACLS.Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.Skills Required: IV insertion experience is preferred; Telemetry experience is a plus.Additional InformationFlu vaccine is required during the flu season (October 1st - March 31st).
