Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment? Creative Safety Supply is hiring an Equipment Operator to help keep our warehouse operations running smoothly. In this position, you’ll be responsible for operating key machinery,  ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with product manufacturing. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, works well independently, and can contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of our team.

Job Title: Equipment Operator 1
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Shift/Hours: M-F; 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Location: In Warehouse
Pay Range: $18.00 - 21.00 per hour, DOE

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Equipment Operator 1 performs a range of duties including but not limited to the following:

• Initial daily set up/inspection, end of day procedure, and/or calibration of extrusion machine as needed
• Oversee Extruder operation throughout shift
• Assists with the manufacture of company products
• Works closely with other warehouse staff to meet production targets
• Participate in safety training and initiatives as needed
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs as needed
• Adhere closely to company procedures and safety policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• 1-2 years of previous machine operation experience
• Effective communicator, both written and verbally; understand basic English
• Ability to meet production goals/deadlines
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks or projects
• Shows initiative and looks for ways to improve the organization or create new opportunities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to work efficiently individually and as part of a team
• Ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand in a stationary position for long periods; occasionally move around the office and reach into cabinets, drawers, etc.; ability to lift to 40 pounds.

Working Conditions : Warehouse environment with fluorescent lighting, regular interruptions, and an increased noise level.
