As a General Production Worker, you will begin your journey in the Re-tread department, a pivotal entry-level role requiring a proactive and diligent approach. This position offers comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in multiple departments within the company. A hook and lift system is utilized to move tires, minimizing heavy lifting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that recap and retread tires for reuse.
• Use a tire holder to prepare tires for recapping or retreading by pushing them against power buffing wheels.
• Install retread rubber on prepared tires.
• Prepare tires for the curing process.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a labor environment such as production, landscaping, construction, or as a lube technician or tire technician.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Machine operating skills.
• 3-6 months of work history in a fast-paced or production environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, and perform heavy lifting.
• Mechanical inclination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with tire tools, alignment machines, air wrench, and using air/temp gauges is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work setting is a manufacturing and production environment with a hook system for the efficient movement of tires. Though there is a rubber smell, the shop is maintained clean, providing a comfortable space. The facility may become hot during summer due to ovens used for 'baking' new treads. The role operates on a 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 4:00 am to 3:00 pm, with occasional Saturdays. Unlimited overtime opportunities are available, which is a significant draw for many candidates.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savage, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
