Payer Relations Coordinator

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in healthcare administration? We are seeking a Payer Relations Coordinator to support our Revenue Cycle team by verifying insurance information, maintaining accurate patient accounts, and helping ensure clean claims and accurate patient billing. Prior healthcare experience is helpful but not required. We provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Review and update insurance information in company systems.
• Utilize payer websites and portals to obtain eligibility and coverage information.
• Document insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility accurately.
• Review patient accounts to identify alternate insurance coverage before statements are released.
• Post deposits and maintain accurate account records.
• Collaborate with scheduling, coding, billing, and revenue cycle staff.
• Help identify and correct account setup issues before claims are submitted.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or healthcare-related coursework preferred.
• Experience in customer service, administrative support, medical office, insurance, banking, or similar environments is beneficial.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn multiple software applications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn healthcare revenue cycle processes.
