Quality Control Inspector

Locations: Texas, New Mexico, Iowa & Nationwide Travel Aurum Construction is growing, and we’re looking for Traveling QA/QC Inspectors to support structural concrete projects throughout Texas, New Mexico, Iowa, and other locations nationwide. This is a field-focused role for someone who understands concrete construction, knows how to read plans, and takes pride in making sure work is completed correctly the first time. Whether your quality experience comes from a concrete contractor, testing laboratory, or general contractor, we’re looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working alongside project teams in the field. This position requires extensive travel and the flexibility to support concrete operations during early-morning pours and varying project schedules. About Aurum Construction Aurum Construction, part of Goldenrod Companies, specializes in self-perform commercial concrete construction. Our teams perform structural concrete work on large-scale projects across multiple markets and geographies. As we continue to expand our project portfolio nationwide, our QA/QC team plays a critical role in ensuring our work meets project specifications, engineering requirements, and Aurum's standards for quality and craftsmanship. What You'll Do Perform field QA/QC inspections for structural concrete operations Conduct pre-pour inspections and verify work is ready prior to concrete placement Inspect formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, and other concrete components for compliance with project requirements Review and interpret construction plans, structural drawings, specifications, and details Monitor concrete placements and help ensure work is performed according to approved plans and specifications Document inspections, testing results, deficiencies, and corrective actions Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, field crews, engineers, testing agencies, and other project partners Assist with maintaining QA/QC logs, reports, and project documentation What We're Looking For 1–2+ years of QA/QC experience within concrete construction, a materials/testing laboratory, or the general contracting industry Concrete construction experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings Ability and willingness to work early-morning concrete pours and schedules that may vary based on project needs Willingness to travel extensively and work on projects nationwide Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in the fieldGood communication and documentation skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the QA/QC field Why Aurum Construction?
