Shadow Health is seeking a Contract Technical Artist to support the development team in creating optimized, visually compelling assets for an interactive healthcare education platform. This role requires strong technical expertise in Unity and 3D asset workflows, with an emphasis on balancing visual realism and performance, particularly for lower-end hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate and optimize 3D assets within the Unity engine.
• Implement and manage Unity's humanoid workflows, animation controllers, and prefabs.
• Ensure proper handling and conversion of FBX file formats for seamless asset integration.
• Collaborate closely with artists and developers to maintain visual quality while meeting performance targets.
• Optimize assets to run efficiently on lower-spec machines without compromising core visual objectives.
• Apply sound judgment in balancing realism and stylization to meet project goals and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience working specifically with the Unity platform.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong proficiency in Unity and its asset pipeline.
• Experience with Unity humanoid workflows, animation controllers, and prefabs.
• Familiarity with Autodesk tools such as Maya and/or 3ds Max.
• Knowledge of FBX file formats and asset conversion workflows.
• Understanding of 3D asset optimization techniques for performance.
• Ability to make informed decisions regarding realism versus stylization.
• Basic knowledge of C#.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Python/PyMEL scripting.
