We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented certified public accountant assistant to help ensure clients' financial success. You’ll be in charge of Executing Excellence in preparing monthly financial statements for 25-40 clients, accounts payable checks for a few clients, payroll checks for a few clients, preparing payroll taxes (941, 940, TWC, and Sales Taxes) for a few clients, entering transactions in the general ledger, and reconciling bank statements. Preparing Federal Tax Returns: Individual 1040s, Corporate 1120s & 1120s’, Partnerships 1065s, Nonprofits 990s. Preparing Budgets and Cash Flow Projections for CFO Client Services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for "Hitting daily and weekly productivity Target Numbers" in preparing monthly financial statements and other activities, and using quality control checklists to ensure precision and promptness.

• Enters and posts transactions in the general ledger utilizing knowledge of debits and credits and reconciles bank statements.

• Prepares accounts payable checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and uses a checklist to ensure precision and promptness.

• Prepares payroll checks and related reports and taxes, including 941, 940, TWC, W-2/3's, 1099/1096's and Sales tax returns, and uses a checklist to ensure precision and promptness.

• Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.

• Assists employees, vendors, or clients by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

• Keeps client files up to date by filing all reports as needed on a DAILY basis.

• Prepares organized Tax eWorkPapers by scanning clients’ tax documents into the Electronic FileCabinet.

• Prepares tax returns for the Manager’s review using the Tax eWorkPapers and importing clients’ tax data from the accounting system: Individual 1040’s, Corporate 1120’s & 1120s’, Partnership 1065s, and Nonprofit 990’s.

• Prepares Budgets and Cash Flow Projections for CFO Client Services.

• Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field, Master’s degree preferred
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• At least 2 years of work experience in accounting services, financial services or related position
• Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills

• Passing the uniform CPA examination from the AICPA is helpful.
