Position Duties Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure no manipulation of student data. Assist with the supervision of a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. Coordinate recreation activities with CPP and Social Development to include evening programming. Coordinate recreation and leadership activities/programs with Center and local community resources. Ensure safe practices and program compliance within prescribed safety guidelines. Document student participation and accountability during recreation activities. Maintain inventory of equipment and material and control their use. Recommend purchase of specific equipment. Perform repairs on equipment as needed. Be responsible for the overall appearance, condition, and organization of the recreation department facilities. May oversee student recreation aide program. Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards. Plan, prioritize and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines. Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties. Mentor, monitor and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH. Provide high‑quality supervision and management for the student population and positively influence student behavior. Show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions and behavior. Provide timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services. Pursue improvement in Center operations to fulfill program objectives. Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provide quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested. Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas. Identify problems, analyze causes and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follow up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected. Work in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students. Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth. Must possess a valid in‑State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load to ask for necessary assistance.
