About the Role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator II to support and maintain our cloud-hosted IT infrastructure while serving as a key technical resource for our employees and business operations.

In this role, you'll have primary ownership of core systems administration functions across our Azure-based environment, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Entra ID, Intune, hosted servers, and VOIP platforms. You'll also serve as a backup resource to our Tier 1 Service Desk, providing escalated support and helping ensure a seamless technology experience across the organization.

This position is ideal for a technology professional who enjoys balancing cloud infrastructure administration with hands-on technical work, including device deployments, networking troubleshooting, and on-site support. You'll have the opportunity to work across a broad technology stack while playing a critical role in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations.

What You'll Do

• Systems & Cloud Administration
• Administer and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments and hosted/cloud server infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and perform lifecycle management activities.
• Manage Entra ID and hybrid identity environments, including user administration, application access, app registrations, and conditional access policies.
• Configure and manage endpoint policies and device deployments through Microsoft Intune.

Technical Support & Service Delivery

• Serve as backup coverage for the Tier 1 Service Desk during periods of high volume, team absences, or as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues related to hardware, software, networking, accounts, and system access.
• Own incidents through resolution, perform rootcause analysis, and implement longterm corrective actions.
Infrastructure & Hardware Management
• Lead or assist with deployments of networkconnected office technologies, including printers, scanners, and other business equipment.
• Configure, provision, reclaim, wipe, and redeploy employee devices throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of equipment for remote employees, vendors, and repair facilities.
• Troubleshoot office networking issues involving switches, access points, cabling, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP connectivity.
VOIP & Communications
• Administer and support VOIP systems, including user provisioning, call routing, troubleshooting, and coordination with service providers.
Data Center & Documentation
• Travel to our Jacksonvillearea data center as needed to assist with hardware installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and related technical tasks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in systems administration, technical support, help desk, or related IT roles.
• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments.
• Experience managing endpoints through Microsoft Intune.
• Working knowledge of Azure, hosted/cloud infrastructure, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience supporting Linux systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, applications, networking, and hardware.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and TCP/IP.
• Comfortable providing direct enduser support alongside systems administration responsibilities.
• Ability to perform handson technical work, including device setup, cabling, and moving IT equipment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally to a Jacksonvillearea data center as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville Monday through Thursday with remote work on Fridays.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent handson experience.
• Experience administering Azure Virtual Desktop or other cloudhosted infrastructure environments.
• VOIP administration experience.
• Experience supporting networkconnected printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
• Familiarity with data center operations, including rackandstack, cabling, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ104, AZ900, SC300) or CompTIA Network+.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or other automation/scripting tools.
• Interest in growing into a Senior Systems Administrator or infrastructurefocused technical role.
