Business Development Team Lead

We are looking for a Business Development Team Lead to drive new business development, with a particular focus on major holding companies and their agencies.

This role combines hands-on business development with team leadership. You will build relationships with senior media stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, develop sales strategies, and manage a team of BDRs.

Responsibilities

• Lead new business development, focusing on major holding companies and their agencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with media planners, buyers, programmatic and investment teams, and senior media leaders.
• Identify new business opportunities through outreach, networking, client meetings, and industry events.
• Develop account segmentation and mapping into clear sales and outreach strategies.
• Manage, mentor, and develop an initial team of three BDRs, with potential to grow the team to 610.
• Improve sales processes, strategies, and best practices for the business development function.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue, Growth, Strategy, and other internal teams.
• Represent the company in client meetings and at industry events.
• Travel regularly to key markets as required.

Your Profile:

• Minimum 4 years of experience selling into major holding companies and navigating agency structures.
• Experience managing and developing a business development or sales team, ideally with 34 direct reports.
• Strong business development or sales experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, digital media, or a related field.
• Proven track record of generating new business and building a sales pipeline.
• Strong understanding of media planning, media buying, programmatic, and investment teams.
• Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to business development with the ability to create and execute effective sales strategies.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
