About the Role:
Candis Inc is looking for a talented and passionate Cook to join our team in Roanoke, VA! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
• Monitor food stock and assist with inventory management and ordering
• Collaborate with Serv-Safe Manager to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation and service
• Properly store and handle ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness
• Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and marinating ingredients
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and cooking methods
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire
