This role sits between customers and engineering, running custom AI agent projects for finance teams from first scoping through launch and support. A strong candidate has led complex technical projects, can map finance processes, and can hold senior customer stakeholders steady through change. Clear writing, expectation setting, and turning customer feedback into product input matter as much as AI knowledge. How it fits the AI era The work is largely about translating AI agent capability into real finance workflows and being honest about where large language models fall short. As agents take on more of the routine execution, the human side is scoping, process mapping, managing stakeholders, and judging what should be automated. The role grows with the product rather than being replaced by it. How it builds AI experience A person here would gain hands on practice scoping and delivering managed AI agents for accounts payable and finance operations, plus a working sense of agent limits. That experience can be built by studying how invoice to cash and procure to pay flows work and by trying agent tools on sample finance tasks.
