Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Psychiatry Emergency Room

Schedule: Weekend Blocked, Day/Night Rotational Position, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- New York License
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Telemetry experience

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
- Make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer medications and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and treatments.
- Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.
