Overview We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Non-CDL Bus Driver to join our elite team in Columbus, Ohio for our contract with COTA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Key Responsibilities Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations. Exhibit exceptional passenger care, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation. Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining top‑level cleanliness and safety equipment readiness. Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications 21 years or older with a high school diploma or GED. Valid Ohio driver’s license in good standing with at least 3 years of motor vehicle history. Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to speak and understand English. Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and drug screen; 49 CFR Part 40 disallows Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for employment. Availability to work full‑time schedules, including day, evenings, weekends, and holidays (must work every weekend on Saturday and Sunday). Punctual with an emphasis on attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed. Require 75‑pound lifting ability and ability to walk, bend, and push/pull; mostly outdoors with inclement weather. Long periods of sitting. Drug‑Free Workplace Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
