Safety Coordinator

Title: Safety CoordinatorLocation: Woodridge, ILHire Type: Direct HireSalary: $65k- $75k/yr.Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PMLanguage: Bilingual Spanish/English RequiredBenefits: 401(k), dental, disability, FSA, health, HSA, life insurance, PTO, referral program, vision insurance, and weekly pay.We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support HR functions and maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment. This role will conduct safety inspections, coordinate employee training, investigate incidents, and serve as a point of contact for both HR and safety-related concerns.Job Duties:Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and identify potential hazards.Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries.Coordinate forklift, PPE, and emergency response training.Investigate workplace accidents and recommend corrective actions.Assist with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.Serve as a point of contact for HR and safety concerns.Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations.Support additional HR and warehouse operations as needed.Qualifications:Bilingual Spanish/English required.5+ years of experience in HR, safety, or warehouse operations.Associate’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and OSHA regulations.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HRIS/payroll experience preferred.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to walk and stand throughout the warehouse for inspections and training#INC1Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sterling Engineering, Inc.
