Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy TechnicianCurative is seeking a pharmacy technician to join our fast-growing team. This role will provide operational support for processing and filling prescriptions, as well as managing inventory in a non-retail facing environment. Reporting to the pharmacist, this individual will provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. Must be detail oriented, reliable and possess excellent communication skills.Essential duties and responsibilities:Assists pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacyPerforms designated tasks regarding pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and preparation of orders for drugsMaintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations including machinery and work areasApplies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overviewMaintains automated prescription processing equipment (e.g. Kirby Lester, ScriptPro, etc.) including calibration, stocking, maintenance, proper report executionAnswers incoming phone calls and respond to needs of callerPacks and ships completed prescriptions including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser and shipping boxesWorks adhering to US regulatory and Quality System requirements (21 CFR 820, etc)Ensures privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA; ensures proper procedures are followed related to prescription delivery to memberAssumes and performs other duties as assignedThe essential duties and responsibilities outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
