MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Location: Brooklawn, NJ Salary: $35.00 USD Hourly - $38.00 USD Hourly Description Our client is currently seeking a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in NJ. Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM Schedule: Weekend work required based on preventive maintenance schedules, typically every other weekend Pay: $35-$38/hour Industry Experience: Food manufacturing or bakery experience preferred but not required Company Overview A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support production and facility operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and facility equipment. Utilize CMMS software to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment repairs. Support continuous production by identifying equipment issues, maintaining a safe work area, and following all safety and GMP requirements. Required Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining manufacturing equipment; electrical troubleshooting experience preferred. Ability to read technical manuals, perform basic math calculations, and work with both standard and metric measurements. Experience using diagnostic tools, CMMS systems, and industrial maintenance equipment; welding experience is a plus. Preferred Skills Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and industrial troubleshooting techniques. Experience supporting food, beverage, bakery, consumer packaged goods, or related manufacturing operations. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
