Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Physician Assistant for our Division of General Surgery to join our staff at our Cooperstown, NY location.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established General Surgery group of 10 Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians
• This individual will fill an integral role with the operative team as first assistant to Oncologic surgeons including Robotic surgeons
• Responsibilities may also include clinic and hospital coverage (rounding, admitting and consulting) as needed
• Previous surgical experience preferred however new grads are encouraged to apply
• Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Call coverage optional with additional stipend - $20K per year
• Sign-on Bonus up to $50K

Job Qualifications

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA
• NYS Licensure
• BLS Certification
• DEA Required
