Facilities Maintenance Technician - Handyman

Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman

We are looking for a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman to help maintain our commercial facility. If you enjoy solving problems, making repairs, and working independently, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Perform general building maintenance and repairs
Complete painting, drywall, carpentry, and handyman projects
Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs
Assist with preventative maintenance, including HVAC filter changes
Repair doors, locks, fixtures, ceiling tiles, flooring, and trim
Maintain the grounds, parking areas, and exterior appearance
Coordinate with outside contractors when needed
Move furniture and assist with facility improvement projects
Operate a passenger shuttle van as needed (training provided)
Keep tools, equipment, and maintenance records organized

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
Able to pass a background check and drug screening
Experience safely using hand and power tools

Preferred Experience

3+ years of facilities, commercial building, apartment, hotel, hospital, or property maintenance
Experience with:
- Painting and drywall repair
- Basic carpentry
- Plumbing repairs
- Basic electrical work (lights, switches, outlets)
- Door and hardware repairs
- Fixture and furniture installation
- Preventative maintenance
- Grounds maintenance and pressure washing
