Director of Operations | Strategic Operations & Firm Growth Leader

As the Director of Operations, you will play a central role in running a law firm with the privilege of practicing in Estate Planning and Special Needs Planning, areas of law that profoundly impact families and create lasting peace of mind.

You will be responsible for leading the internal systems, staffing, workflow, and infrastructure that keep the firm running smoothly, partnering closely with firm leadership to drive accountability, efficiency, and long-term growth.

You'll work in close partnership with the firm's Director of Client Experience, who owns client-facing service standards, communication, and satisfaction, giving you the opportunity to focus fully on building the operational backbone that lets the client experience thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations, systems, processes, vendors, and workflow efficiency.
• Establish KPIs, accountability systems, and performance expectations across the firm.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.  

CRM & Client Pipeline Management

• Own the firm's CRM system, ensuring accurate data, consistent usage, and effective workflows.
• Monitor leads, consultations, conversions, follow-ups, and overall pipeline performance.
• Use CRM reporting to identify bottlenecks and support forecasting, marketing, and business decisions. 

Leadership & Accountability

• Serve as the operational partner to firm leadership, driving execution of strategic priorities.
• Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Proactively solve problems, hold teams accountable to KPIs, and ensure the firm operates toward its long-term goals.

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Lead quarterly strategic retreats, planning sessions, and review plans.
• Translate the firm's vision into measurable quarterly priorities, goals, and action plans.
• Track progress, report results to leadership, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Financial Management & Profitability

• Oversee financial operations, budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and financial controls.
• Track revenue, expenses, profit margins, cost of acquisition, and key financial metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, control costs, and optimize financial performance  

Marketing Leadership

• Track lead generation, conversions, marketing ROI, and alignment with revenue goals.
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors while using data to improve marketing performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business operations, professional services management, or a similar leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing the business operations of a professional services organization.
• Strong understanding of systems, processes, and leadership.
• Ability to read, understand, and analyze financial statements and business reports.
• Strong understanding of profit margins, revenue, expenses, and financial KPIs.
• Proven ability to build and manage operational systems and processes.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Comfortable working with data, metrics, and accountability dashboards.
• Ability to independently identify problems, develop solutions, and drive implementation.

Compensation

Starting salary: $115,000+ , commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability.
