Food Production Worker - PART TIME
Day Shift - Monday -Friday (8:00am - 12:00pm)
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting daily food production by operating and monitoring industrial ovens and assisting with the preparation, baking, and handling of food products. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety and GMP standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor industrial ovens according to established production procedures.
- Load and unload food products from ovens using proper safety procedures.
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure products meet specifications.
- Prepare and stage ingredients, trays, racks, and materials needed for production.
- Inspect finished products for proper color, appearance, texture, and overall quality.
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with GMP and food safety standards.
- Safely handle hot trays, racks, and equipment while using required PPE.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and transferring finished products to the next stage of production.
- Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, or quality problems to the supervisor.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous food production, bakery, oven, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices is a plus.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
