TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Aurora, Colorado, 80045!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Patient Ratio Experience of 1:3-4-5 - Experience with the Epic charting system Description: Registered Nurse position available in Oncology department. Shifts will be during the night, with various days of the week required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience. New travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend shifts will be required based on unit needs. No on-call duty is required. Candidates may be required to float to similar units based on facility needs. Total staffed beds in the unit are 36. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on day shifts and 1:5 on night shifts. Ratios may be adjusted based on staffing and unit needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in flexible staffing environments. Dress code includes navy scrubs. Experience in oncology nursing is highly preferred. Skills required include the administration of chemotherapy, blood products, and managing ports. Additional skills include monitoring for adverse reactions and patient education regarding treatment. Candidates may encounter patients with a range of diagnoses, including those requiring palliative care. Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare professionals. Travelers should be prepared to check emails regularly for updates and instructions.
